after his Lisfranc injury.
It was reported that they told him he couldn't damage it any more and if he could play through the pain, then he could keep playing, since it would be his last game of the year. He didn't play all of the rest of the game, because we all know about the Magnum to Matthews Miracle, but Taysom did give it a go for a bit longer after the injury.
We all praised Taysom for his toughness and perseverance in the face of a devastating injury.
Rose demonstrated that same toughness or more (he stayed in the entire game). I applaud the young man. I don't think keeping him in the game was abusive by either the coaches or the medical staff. It was a reasoned decision based on the medical diagnosis, whether any further damage would occur, whether he personally could physically grit it out and stay in the game, and on the part of the coaches, whether an injured Rose was still their best chance to win.
