I don't see any flashing ever, I know what you mean, like if something is in the way of the safety laser you get

flashing and sometimes a clicking sound as the light flashes. I don't see any of this.

Most garage door openers have a little wire for the antenna.. if you have one, find it and move it.

99% of 'remote' issues are signal (antenna) and Battery (not enough signal power)

There is usually a light that flashes when something is wrong. The number of times it flashes will indicate the problem

Small flashing light on mine is on the electronic control board--not the larger exterior light

Do you use LED bulbs in it? Those can cause issues sometimes
