I mean you’d want the players who practiced it during the week doing it on

Saturday right? Maybe they typically run other plays from that formation and the double pass was a new wrinkle? I have no idea I’m not a coach. Obviously it didn’t work and hindsight is 2020. I’m sure reasons do exist as to why they did it they way they did it.
