Or listen to Connor Pay discuss this on Jake Hatch's podcast when he was asked specifically about it...he specifically said that ARod was calling plays to bomb the ball downfield but the execution was poor, guys weren't getting open, blocking assignments missed, etc. Why was execution poor? There's a list of possible explanations but that's besides the point. The play calls were there, the execution was not - per Connor Pay.
