This is such an interesting aspect of this. Isn't it still true that all but a small handful of these schools are in the

red financially every year and subsidized by state/taxes/student tuition? And truly, what happens to the value of these "brands" when a Michigan semi-pro football team is no longer the Michigan Wolverines? And yeah...does anybody really believe there is nobody in state and federal government that cares if the college football system completely disintegrates?
