While I don't use my mba at all, it has gotten me every single job up till about 8 years ago when my experience in programing became more compelling.
I found that unless you have good, relevant experience, an executive mba isn't as helpful to get a new job. What I mean by that is BYU brings in a certain type of recruiter based on their relationships and reputation. If you don't understand those fields, its hard to get in at the level you want. Where a day time program allows you to spend much, much more time learning the material taught.
So you need to look at your experience, figure out what broad area you want to go in. If its finance and you do not have any experience with it in your work life, you better go full time schooling.
