Go talk to the coach. If you are respectful, I’m guessing you can come to an

agreement on how to get him more playing time.

If you haven’t talked to him, the coach probably doesn’t realize there is an issue. But if your son isn’t missing practices and is trying hard the coach can find a way to get him 15-20 plays per game without hurting the team.
