I should add that many times companies will contribute some sort of money to
your HSA as well. The company I work for has a wellness incentive where if you either:
1. Get an annual physical, or
2. Complete a wellness assessment online and go get a blood screening (testing Cholesterol/Blood sugar levels, etc.)
They will contribute $500 for me and $500 for my spouse. That's $1000 in free money for doing an annual checkup that is covered 100% by insurance and we would likely do anyways.
