Dont need to be a business do it at all. My wife gets tons of points

using credit card portals, getting a new card every year or so, etc. I do the same. (referring to using personal cards not business cards)

In our case I also have a business so I use a card there as well but we've gotten lots and lots of flights from rewards on personal cards.
