Problem is the hotel was full. My cousin stayed in a room that literally had
blood on the sheets when she checked in and then part of the ceiling caved in while she was in there, and even they had a difficult time moving rooms.
We also dealt with an ant issue in the room while we were there (we didn't fuss about that one - just notified the front desk and they came and sprayed for them and that was about it).
Also, I would not put ANY blame on my son for cutting himself on the soap holder. All he did was turn around and his leg brushed against it and it got cut. Anybody who wants to put blame on a kid for something like that is being completely unreasonable. I could buy the argument that we should have notified the front desk immediately upon noticing it was broken, but I didn't think it was sharp enough that it would actually cut anyone so I didn't pay it much attention (boy was I wrong).

The family obviously didn’t think it was risk even though they knew it was damaged. They still chose to use the shower.
