I haven't been to a chiro since 1981, but he did fix a back problem I had as a teen. He was a little kooky and pushed Aloe Vera and other 'natural' products that my mom was into, but I never fully bought into it. I'm glad I went to him and don't know much about how chiropractors work today, but I'm glad I saw him before deciding to get surgery, especially in those days when back surgery meant 6 months or more recovery and low odds of success.
Bottom line, find a chiropractor you trust and make sure you understand exactly what he's doing to your body. If he starts not making sense, walk away.
