15 y.o. daughter fighting depression and suicidal thoughts just told her doctor
yesterday and my HCBW and I are reeling and trying to process and take the next steps. She is the youngest of our 3 children and the only one left at home.

It seems totally out of the blue because she is a very outgoing kid and makes friends with all. She doesn't have outward signs of depression.

A year ago a kid at school turned her into the councilors for suspicious cuts but my daughter said they were from the cat and nothing was wrong. We didn't take any action then.

My oldest daughter (her sister) went through a bout of cutting herself at around the same age and through a year of counseling she came out of it.

Youngest daughter had pretty bad ADHD and was on medication from 3rd grade until 8th grade. She hated it and came off the meds with the condition she get passing grades at school. So far that has been the case. She is a Sophomore and her first year at High School. She says school is the biggest cause of her challenges and depression.

Our next steps are to find her counseling and get her to a therapist but was wondering if any of you have experience dealing with this or any advice or recourses to help us through this.
