This kid probably has offers from a million different places with all of the coaches telling him how important he is to their program. Then you commit to one and the head coach doesn't even know who you are? How many times do you think Urban has called and texted him? How many times do you think Urban has been inside his house and spoken with his family?

I understand coaches speak with a lot of kids and also make mistakes. It happens.

That being said if I am a highly recruited individual that was on the fence over a couple of different schools and one head coach didn't know who I was that would be enough to push me in a different direction.

To call the kid stupid for making that decision is ignorant, especially from so far away in a situation you couldn't possibly know the specifics on.
