but I will say that you need to dress according to the culture of the business and corporation for where you work.
East-coast jobs are generally more suit-oriented than West-coast jobs.
I know those that have gotten their first starts on Wall Street, but I don't think that they were being hired based on their Eagle Scout status or missionary credentials. They were either very bright with a lot of potential or came from Ivy league schools with a name attached to them so rolling the dice wasn't too much of a gamble.
