I’ll save you the time. That data doesn’t exist. This is the type of story that leads to government programs that don’t make an impact and Come at an unnecessary cost.

I’m a big data guy. Don’t tell me how bad it is and how important it is with statements. Show me actual data. Show me countries that put it in the water and how they have lower school absences. Show me adjacent communities that have similar demographics where one has fewer school absences, and the other does not. Otherwise, we are talking about one to two lifetime cavities. That’s the data that I can actually see at the moment.

Also, the number one reason kids miss school is illness. Acute illness accounts for about 50% of all absences. Lumping dental issues in there is dishonest. Grok tells me dental issues account for 2-5% of absences.
