The real issue is injury risk. I wouldn’t worry abt 1 yr pushback
The only really bad outcome for coming back is if you’re injured and lose opportunity to make money at all in NBA.
Pushing off a contract by a year will mean contract 2 is worth a bit more than it would’ve been but starts a year later. If you play a full career, this one year later start means very little of consequence
