Roster spots have diminished. Colleges will start ignoring kids unless they hit metrics earlier now. Schools before wanted kids in 10th grade hitting college times or metrics, 11th at the latest. I suspect this will shift earlier by year. If you don’t hit times or marks by then, you’ll have to go d2 or d3 and hope to transfer up.

There is already issues with recruiting. Why take a risk on a high school kid when you can sign someone in the portal
