Something about having to take enough credits and being on path to graduate in 4 years. The admin didn't want any professional students hanging around. Get out and earning money and donating to the school.
There were slackers who weren't progressing rapidly enough toward graduation. I had a friend who went to Jr college for two years and transferred to BYU. He didn't have enough transferable credits to get out of the Freshman class. So he went to BYU for two years and still didn't have enough credits to get out of the Freshman class. I guess he dropped or flunked out of classes. So then he left BYU and that was the end of his educational endeavors, he just wasn't cut out for it. He went into construction, he was good at building things.
