Travel is not a big deal for these games. First off, travel for an NBA team is not like travel for you and I. They
walk onto a luxury jet and relax for a couple of hours if they are going a long way. When they have days in between it is no big deal at all (it becomes a bigger issue when they get in at like 3am on game day)
2nd, every year teams in the West play teams like New Orleans and Memphis in the playoffs. I've never heard anyone complain about the travel (recently anyway).
