KY post-game identified Baker as his top playmaker after Demin — but in the same breath kinda acknowledged that he went w Knell over Baker in the close-out lineup. But he didn't give an explanation beyond that.
Knell really doesn't guard high unless he's forced out there — so it'd be unfair to compare his D to Baker's. And yet, Knell is very sound & strong defending the baseline. Which I'm pretty sure is why KY went with him as our shooter to close things out. IN the final lineup, KY wanted Mag out there w Demin & Richie to guard the high perimeter. Baker clearly didn't prove himself worthy on D to be out there in the end.
I think KY was clearly dissappointed w Baker's passive play last night.
