Had mine done during residency by my department chair. Surgery on Friday and then back to work on Tuesday. I was in a lot of pain Saturday and Sunday. Could not keep my eyes open to even watch TV most of the weekend. Woke up Monday morning and the epithelium had completely healed and zero pain after. Regrowing the skin of your eye is not fun.

I had double vision in each eye for the first week or so as my skin regrew at different rates from the top/side. I was back in the operating room a week later with no issues and my prescription has been stable since.
