My son did PRK on December 20th. He is 24 and in good health. He literally never
felt any pain or discomfort, even though the doctor told him days 2 and 3 could be bad. He did sleep almost 4 hours after the surgery and then slept all night and then napped another 6 hours the next day. With that said, he found his vision was great the first day after, and then it was a little rough the following week (which is normal for PRK). He honestly could have gone back to work after the first two days. We went skiing on December 26th (less than a week after) and he did great.

He is almost 3 weeks removed and said that his vision is definitely better than it was before and notices improvements everyday.

I don't know anything about the monovision correction. He didn't have that issue.
