I often tell people the very definition of you not needing something is that you
can store it some distance from where you live.
Self selection at it's most efficient, if it can go to the storage unit, odds are over 80% it can go to the dump.

It's sad. Those should be very temporary stops but most keep them for years. Paying to store literal garbage.
