I went to their game against West Virginia this year.
Things that are better than LES
- The seating layout provides great seats from nearly anywhere in the stadium.
- Tortillas are fun.
- the Masked Rider riding across the field is a fun mascot.
That's about all that's better.
- That multi million dollar renovation is to accommodate the big money donors with end zone seating. Normal people aren't sitting over there.
- The screen is junk compared to LES.
- the fans aren't really in to the game. The WVU game was over a holiday weekend with one of the best teams at Texas Tech in the last 10 years. Tons of open seats. Crowd wasn't loud at all and cheered when they were on offense.
- Concessions are very ho-hum, generic "event" food.
BYU has a top environment in college football and has really improved LES since I started attending games routinely in 2005. It's the kind of place most Big 12 schools are going to be trying to replicate going forward.
