In NIL they call that "pay for play." It was specifically disallowed previously. With the ruling in Oct, it's now ok.
BYU has said they won't get in the "pay for play" business. We'll see if they change their minds.
I can't imagine that a pay for play environment is good for a college locker room. Schools who use it are taking a big risk I think.
