All our kids have used sound machines as babies, usually wave/ocean sounds. My two oldest don't use it anymore, but
all the others still do. If my oldest wanted to use it, no problem at all. The background noise is relaxing.

There are several free white noise apps available that we use. We also use white noise on the Alexa devices.
