I mean, yes. It's a hard job. Very. On my second point, the easiest example is
the ND game a couple years ago. We call timeout on 4th and 2. We come back in with either #12 or #13 personnel (heavy, extra tight end and an H-back).

Who do we hand it off to? Lopini Katoa. Now, he was a playmaker, but he was not a road-grader. Who was the H-back? Rex. Obviously an all-timer for BYU at tight end, but not a blocker by any stretch. We got stuffed, with Chris Brooks and Houston Heimuli standing on the sidelines. Just dumb.

To his credit, he learned from that specific mistake. In the bowl game against SMU, we ran the exact same play in the exact same situation. This time with Brooks getting the ball, and Heimuli as the H-back. What happened? Heimuli bench pressed the dude in the B-gap back into the linebacker, and Brooks hit the hole like a freight train and went like 50 yards for a touchdown.

Hill may have struggled but the rust from not getting used consistently had something to do with that, imo. I could give so many examples. I'd love to watch a game with you and point this stuff out in real time. It's rough.

In the end, ARod is mediocre and we need to find good.
