So, he is EXCELLENT at:
recruiting, player development, overall gameplan design. Especially given a long layoff, he's pretty darn reliable at designing a number of excellent situational plays that exploit specific defensive tendencies.
He is POOPY at:
in game rhythm and feel (he is just TERRIBLE at seeing what the defense is giving him and how to exploit it, and often stubbornly sticks to something that IS NOT working),
also POOPY at:
use of available personnel. I could go on for hours about this one. He regularly calls the RIGHT play and uses the WRONG person to run it. See: Ta'ase. My goodness. I love him, but he's a blocking tightend. Go look at the number of times we used him in CLUTCH moments when we had Keanu Hill sitting right there. Ugh. Shoot me in the head.
The problem is that the last two are really the most key abilities a Coordinator needs, and he don't have 'em.
