I don't understand the HOA thing?
I have a non-resident house in a HOA. I insured it with the same insurance company as the permanent residence. Are both the HOA and me paying insurance.
Would the HOA insurance be part of my $225 quarterly fee to the HOA.

I've seen this before. They likely confused the project with the unit.

"Forced placed insurance" is a real thing. Insuring a townhouse in Toole for $8M is not a real thing.

He needs to send his mortgage company a copy of the master HOA policy.

In Utah, it isn't just typical, it is required by statute.
