Yukons, Escalades, thinking it would be perfect SUV. My wife and I were serious about getting a Tahoe a couple of years ago.
But the deal breaker for me was how little cargo space there was behind that 3rd row, and we decided to stick with Toyota Sienna, for that reason alone. We tested the larger Suburban, and it had plenty of cargo space, but we hated how long it was, it didn't fit in our garage, and was just more of a beast to drive around town.
So it isn't always just about money. Some people just prefer a vehicle that is easier to maneuver, and the minivan gives the best combination of people space, cargo space, and drivability.
