I don’t think anyone is suggesting no repercussions to the institution, myself

included (in spite of my apparent bias). There was an institutional failure that occurred in the wake of terrible individual actions—restorative justice requires punishment of the school and most people support that. But it’s the hyperbole and exaggerated demands of some that bring out the defenders.
