Eliminate the conference championship games
Give first round byes to the P4 conference champions, the highest ranked G5 champion and the 3 highest rated teams that did not win their conference.
Have 16 teams play a "play in" game, with the winners being reseeded against the 8 teams with byes. 24 teams no extra games outside3 of the 8 that win the play in.
