Pathfinder goes on frontier frame and gains solid axle to compete with 4runner
Armada ditches IRS and gets a solid rear to compete with Land Cruiser.

Honda pilot and passport take the crossover SUV market.

Nissan keeps the performance line and maybe borrows a tuned version of the civic for entry level.

Honda gets a new truck slotted above the Ridgeline sharing the Frontier platform.

That’s a start, but competition is fierce, pricing must be less than Toyota and feature set similar, there is weakness with hesitancy over Toyota’s TNGA-F platform and if you strike now can gain some market share back.

As it stands, nobody talks about the frontier or armada in off road/overlanding circles despite them being capable.

They need to go all in, not half baked (solid rear, 17” wheels, lockers) to make up for ground loss.

I almost bought an Armada, but at the end of the day, it was too neutered to be an off road vehicle and too heavy and truck like to be a family hauler.

Pick one and go all in.
