am to a degree a nutcase with trying to raise an athlete... like based our lives on it and doing so at an embassingly young age.
We held back one back who was about 2 years behind physically, though I admit it's mostly ridiculous to play that game. I do think it can work on an individual level mostly by helping the borderline kids into the low college ranks and/or slip into an academic type school. But, I admit it just makes the culture of youth sports that much worse.
We quit the game for our youngest two.
