and my son is in the elementary division (1st-6th grade) and there are so many kids who should be in 8th grade who have been held back 2 times already. In the Junior high division their are 8th graders who should be sophomores and will be 16 to start their freshman year. It seems to be especially bad back east but you see it more and more in utah. We played a team in youth football this season and a parent from the other team told my wife they had 12 kids who were held back.
