I went to both schools and I work in higher Ed.
I started at BSU and finished at BYU. While it is true that the the competition among students at BYU is significantly greater and there's a LOT more busy work, BSU is a good school. Good students at BSU stack up against good students at BYU or anywhere.
In my experience, the main difference was that students at Boise State smiled a lot and the students at BYU walked around looking stressed. I enjoyed both, but Boise was more fun.
The arrogance and elitism on this board is kinda nauseating.
