Is there an argument to be made that losing to Michigan was better for Ohio

If you only allow winners in, then how do you get to 12 teams?

It’s essentially making it a 16 team playoff.

So you're just rolling the CCG into the playoffs. Am I following?

The ccg is part of the playoff, and the winner gets a by. It doesn’t change

The loser of a CCG might be the second best team in the country

Cool, they should have won the ccg

Sounds like you think only undefeated teams should be in the playoffs

Isn’t that what would happen if the # 1 team lost during the playoff, or should

Problem is that the conference wouldn't go for that. Another idea is to just

OK, there are no problems with the current setup… glad we have a problem

No, because you don’t matchup the #1 seed with the #2 seed in the playoffs. What you're suggesting would make it a bad

I won’t feel bad for a Penn state or Oregon that loses a conference

I disagree. The top CCGs losers should get to host Round 1.

No, the others likely missed out on the ccg door to an obscure tie breaker.

So, they should have the chance to prove themselves in a qualifier game against

That’s just extending the playoff.

Disagree on your last statement.

I guess I'm just thinking of the Ohio State Michigan rivalry

I can promise you Ohio State would never see losing to Michigan as good in any
