I'm sure it varies by neighborhood. 15 boys or so, not 1 had swung a bat.
This was maybe 10 years ago in North Salt Lake and was actually 11 and 12 year olds. I figured a little wiffle ball batting game would be fun, and it fit requirement for some bead or patch.
I didn't expect anyone to be great, I figured it would be brand new to some of them. I was surprised when not a single one of them had ever swung a bat at a ball before.
