It's funny how with hindsight the unsuccessful play calls are idiotic. When a
Key play fails, it's so easy to say that. But with each failed play is a player that either missed his assignment, got beat 1 on 1, or a defensive player just made a great play.
EVERY offensive coordinator has key plays that fail because most defenses aren't just going to lay down. And defensive coordinators are actually pretty smart and win plays too.

Plays look good when they are executed and successful. They look bad when they’re poorly executed and aren’t successful
