BYU had finished the year 4-8 and with a bad loss versus the worst team in the Big 12.
I think there are some in here who are actually mad BYU finished 10-2 became they think that Kalani and A-Rod stink and should have been fired long ago.
Kalani is doing more with less. We're are in our second year in a P4 conference and are still not getting a full share on the TV revenue. We spent 11 years in the wilderness of independence cobbling together season after season with some exposure but nothing like what we get in a major conference. And BYU still has a fundamental disadvantage with the honor code that will keep many talented players from coming to BYU. We also have to self sustain the AD (unlike many programs) and so they can't invest more money into the AD until we actually have it.
And despite such head winds and disadvantages Kalani lead this team to a 10-2 record, a tie atop the Big 12 standings and but for a tie breaker versus a team we didn't play, a berth in the CCG and the playoff. We beat our hated rival for a second straight time, and will go to a better bowl game than we've gone to since our days going to the Holiday Bowl.
You people need to go and touch grass. We overachieved. Am I disappointed with not getting you the CCG? Of course. But I'm of the opinion that we lost not because of terrible coaching decisions, but because we didn't play well enough to win and got some unlucky bounce. But for crying or loud the ball bounced our way many times during the season.
And what's hilarious the constant, *Our OC sucks" drum beat goes back for decades. I've heard the same crap about office coordinators for at least the last 25 years if not longer.
Normally after a win, CB is kind of fun, but holy cow. Talk about snatching defeat from the Jaws of victory.
Again. Go touch grass. Enjoy what has been a really good season. But give it a rest with the, "Fire A-Rod or fire Kalani" crap. You just make yourselves look and sound stupid.
