Seems like there are many more posts saying society should be harder versus saying society should be softer.

I think you may see some posts about having some amount of grace and forgiveness for a first time offender who doesn't harm anyone - but even then there are more calls for harsher punishments than there are for leniency. Just look at this thread - how many posts are there saying punishment should be harsher versus posts saying punishment should be more lenient?

I just don't think it's true that CB is soft on DUIs - and certainly not more soft than how laws are currently applied.
