inside knowledge so I very well could be wrong. But BYU has always underpaid. Why do we think they are paying fair wages now? Remember when we had to stretch to pay Grimes about $600k which was a little less than he was making? He took it to get the OC experience. I get we have p4 money starting next year but we still had a recruiting budget less than USU two years ago. I don't see us that much higher than USU and I could see us on par. I wouldn't be surprised if Hill is only making 500k a yr.


Also-he could want the title of coach. Maybe it's been hard for him to work for someone else after running his own program for so many years. Maybe he sees life short and wants to make as much money as he can.

I don't think coach's are as loyal as we want them to be.
