KU has a history of making mistakes and turnovers. They can be explosive - if you give them enough shots to score. So having a plan to limit their opportunities and be efficient on offense themselves isn't a horrible plan for BYU. They just failed to execute it. They've won the turnover battle in every game this season until now. KU typically turns it over more than the 1 time they did.

So the plan was great - but they failed to execute the plan. And lost.
