That deep throw to Lassiter was an absolute gem of a play design. That ball didn’t even need to hit him in stride. There was plenty of room for Ratzliff to make the throw. That isn’t a difficult throw. It was a clean pocket.

So do you blame ARod because Jake can’t make that throw? If they make that play, it’s a completely different game. Same thing on the missed whip route. Same thing on the Marion miss. Same thing on the fade. Same thing on the curl to Roberts.

You have deep throws. You have short throws. You have intermediate throws. You have throws against pressure. You have throws with a clean pocket.

But there are two things in common on all of those plays. There was an open man and there was a bad throw. And people want to blame the coordinator. It just feels crazy to me.
