Tickets to the U every other year in the 90’s just for the byu game. I would sell every other ticket which I always got enough to pay for the season so the byu game was free
I would tailgate with U buddies every year. I realize I didn’t put myself in the best situations. Lots of drinking at the tailgates. I always got heckled a little bit when it was time to walk to the game and during the tailgate when people walked by. After the games drunk students would get into my face and swear etc. nothing violent but when someone jumps right in your face and yells it’s unerving.
I finally decided after the Beck to Harline I didn’t want to go there anymore. I had quite a few fans get in my face that game after we won. My friends never said anything. They would apologize but never say anything.
Every other year when I took them to the game in Provo people rarely even said anything to them. It was such a stark difference. I’m sure there were times no one said anything at all to them.
It’s just not worth it to me. I’d rather watch it on tv now
