UNLV (#42 Sagarin) beat Kansas (#41 Sagarin) by three and Houston (#75 Sagarin). That's it. So, on par with bottom half big12 teams.
Wazzu (#46 Sagarin) might be worse. Beat Texas Tech (#50 Sagarin) and Washington (#52).
BYU as an example, has wins over #13 and #18 in Sagarin as well as #32 (Baylor), #40 (Oklahoma St), #51 (UCF). BYU has games remaining against #41, #44, #53, #75 (Houston). BYU isn't stating their case, nor is anyone else in playoff consideration to my knowledge, with wins over #42 and #46. Possible some teams in consideration haven't played their top competition yet, but they will have and would have won those games to stay in playoff consideration. BSU has no one left.
BSUs opponents beyond UNLV, Wazzu and Oregon are: #85, #89, #108, #109, #111, #118, #127, #128, #196. That is a putrid schedule. Several of those teams are behind multiple FCS teams
