We have different perspectives. You think the enemy are "the big conferences"

which is a narrow view. It makes you susceptible to such heresy as cheering for Utah in the Sugar Bowl to see them "stick it to the big teams." The true enemy is any team or conference that weakens BYU. A powerful team cutting our future fanbase is long term a disaster for BYU. Boise and Utah winning BCS games hurt BYU more than you realize.
