Worked in the 80’s in Arabia. Our co. Would give us a travel bonus for leave.
We would take it down to the bank, cash the $12000 check, then walk down to the travel agency to pay for our tickets. A nervous few minutes.

I withdrew 17k a couple of months ago to buy a used tractor and the lady counted it for me by hand at the counter
