I worry that the old mandate was that the AD can do whatever it wants as long as the AD is net profitable.

And we are now in a narrow window where we have a lot more money than we had before, and the mandate hasn’t changed, so we can still do whatever we want as long as we are profitable.

But I think that window will close and the mandate will change (or the AD has to start paying “royalties” back to the school that artificially change its budget) and we go back to what we were.
