Failing a 4th down is almost like a turnover...gives the opponent a short field unless you're going for it on the goal line or something, but even in that case if you fail then you're giving up what would have been an easy FG.

I get ARod saying that but I don't actually buy it...3rd and 4th downs are very different

Those stats are a huge validation for the defense...may not be elite...but much better than the offense at this point
